Tourism, entertainment events to be launched in March

Manama, February 17 (BNA) The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority has launched a series of regional and international tourism and entertainment events and activities as part of its efforts to attract more tourists and provide more opportunities for citizens and residents.

The events that will be held throughout the year will contribute to achieving the objectives of the tourism strategy and support event companies and various tourism facilities.

For his part, Nasser Qaidi, CEO of BTEA, said that it reflects the authority’s keenness to innovate while revitalizing the tourism sector in Bahrain, enhancing its competitiveness, increasing its contribution to the gross domestic product, and creating good job opportunities for citizens.

He added that the authority will work to enhance the ambitious program in accordance with developments on the ground.

In March, BTEA will launch a wide campaign in regional and international markets to promote all activities scheduled for 2022, including those held by the authority, and those held by partners in the tourism sector, within the framework of integrating efforts and strengthening the tourism industry as a whole, Kaidi said.
