Manama, May 3 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting the Sector 20 Annual Toastmasters Conference “DTAC 2023” under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.
Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq and Egypt participate in the conference, which is held under the slogan “Hamas, Experience, Excellence”.
More than 2,000 Arabic and English speakers from 127 clubs will attend the largest Toastmasters event to be held from May 11-13.
Badr Bushlaibi, Chairman of DTAC, thanked His Highness Sheikh Nasser for his patronage, which indicates His Highness’s support for young Arab talents.
Sector 20 Director Khaled Abdullah said that the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser is a great source of motivation for all participants.
As part of the conference, Toastmasters will compete in four competition categories: International Speech, Humorous Speech, Appraisal Speech, and Table Topics; In Arabic and English.
The first place winner in the International Speech category will represent the sector at the Toastmasters International 2023 Convention, which will take place in the Bahamas later in August.
