Thunberg says she wants be more in background of climate campaigns

Stockholm, October 20 (BNA): Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg wants to work more in the background to protect the climate in the future.

“I will still do a lot, but I will no longer be visible in the media,” Thunberg told German magazine Brigitte B. Green.

“It’s time to pass the microphone on,” she said, adding that more of the people hardest hit by the climate emergency should be heard.

In the nuclear power debate, Thunberg reiterated her belief that nuclear power plants are better than coal.

“My personal opinion – and I am not speaking here as Friday For Future – is that it is wrong to stop them when coal is the alternative,” the 19-year-old said.
