The business development consultant’s primary focus is on generating demand for Oracle solutions and services through a combination of incoming calls and external prospecting within a specific region or vertical
Manages a team of telephonic business development representatives for a territory/area. Provides management of the day-to-day operations of responding to incoming and outgoing calls and key qualification functions. Creates training programs for products, sales, and business functions. Coordinates marketing activities (direct mail, advertising, etc.) with marketing organisations. Responsible for training, performance management and career development for employees. Participates in the recruitment process and makes recruitment recommendations to senior management. Manages the budget. Provides support for marketing and sales programs.
Leads a specialized area that may contain diverse functional elements. Interacts frequently with supervisors and/or managers of the functional peer group. May interact with upper management.
Experience in qualifying prospects and clients and an understanding of the sales cycle process. Experience in training professional sales staff, University degree in Business or equivalent. Previous management experience. Successful sales record. Strong knowledge of Oracle product preferred 5 years sales experience.
