Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): The Victorious team won today the annual National Endurance Championship.
His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser rode from Hamad Al Khalifa Darco La Maggiore to win the 160 km race, recording 7 hours, 43 minutes and 52 seconds.
The Bahraini Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREF) organized the tournament as part of the National Day celebrations.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brave Company, attended the event at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser praised the distinguished levels that appeared during the championship, which reflect the steps achieved by the Bahraini endurance sport.
In a statement, he stressed the importance of the tournament, which is organized annually within the framework of the celebrations of the National Day and the day of His Majesty the King’s enthronement.
He praised the efforts made by the Bahraini Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREF), headed by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
He expressed his happiness at the victory of the Victorious Abdullah team, the Al-Raoui racer, in the local endurance race for a distance of 120 km, recording 4 hours, 15 minutes and 19 seconds.
