Taylor Swift wins top prize, announces new album at MTV VMAs

Newark, NJ, Aug. 29 (US): Taylor Swift won first prize at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards before wrapping up the show with a surprising big announcement: her new album.


“I thought it would be a fun moment to tell you that my new album is coming out on October 21,” Swift said after winning Best Video of the Year for her project “All Too Well: The Short Film” (10-minute version). , who won the best long video. “I’ll tell you more in the middle of the night.”


Swift said on social media that her upcoming 10th album will be called “Midnight,” which she says will include “the stories of 13 sleepless nights spread throughout my life.” Her next release comes after she released “Folklore” and “Evermore”.

“I know with every second of this moment that we wouldn’t be able to make this short film without you – the fans,” she said. “I wouldn’t be able to re-record my albums if it wasn’t convenient for you. You encouraged me to do it.”
