Job description and summary
A career in international tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help multinational corporations meet their cross-border tax needs locally and globally by managing global tax rates, finding areas for cost reduction, and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities. You will gain a global perspective and awareness of tax issues arising from changes in evolving business structures and geographic expansions. More specifically, it will help our clients in Lebanon meet and manage their tax obligations in the countries in which they are located across unique and ever-changing tax specialties. You will advise clients on their domestic and overseas tax affairs, while serving as a strategic advisor on business analysis, indirect tax management, dispute resolution, and global tax solutions for enterprises.

Our team advises our clients on tax laws, reporting, legislation and planning strategies based on geography and jurisdiction. You will assist our clients with local tax laws, reporting requirements, legal filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing, indirect taxes and other international tax needs.

You will be involved in incoming tax matters as well as merger and acquisition transactions, transfers of companies/ownership sites and company formations. A detailed description of the type of work is as follows:

Working on advisory assignments, providing reports and guidance on preparation, tax structuring and planning for new projects,
Understand, advise and make recommendations on both domestic tax legislation and international taxation,
Ability to interpret tax treaties, analyze tax efficiency and overall group tax reporting effectiveness.
– To manage a portfolio of clients, handle and deal with their tax requirements, updates and compliance issues for incoming taxpayers,
Build relationships with regulators, be able to negotiate disputes with an appropriate tax background and address both domestic and international tax interpretation as well as accounting standards; And
Develop job opportunities, train and mentor team members on projects, assignments, and client engagement.

requirements:

Thorough knowledge of merger and acquisition practices, including advising multinational corporations, privately owned companies and partnerships regarding tax aspects of planning, structuring and executing transactions of all sizes; analysis of proposed transactions for unusual tax risks or unidentified tax advantages; Advise clients on tax efficient restructurings, liquidation, spin-offs, due diligence and strategy formulation.
A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience is required.
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting or Finance is required. A degree in International Taxation, a Master of Science in Taxation, or a Master of Laws in Taxation is preferred.
Experience in identifying and addressing customer needs, as well as building, maintaining and using customer relationship networks.
Great experience as a team leader.
Good business and digital writing skills.
Strong analytical skills and business awareness.
Adhering to the company’s code of ethics and professional conduct.

Basic skills:

Writing, reporting and presentation skills are essential, as well as management, coordination, training and business development skills.

Desired skills:
