Talent and Culture Coordinator
Reporting to the Talent and Culture Manager, he will be responsible for assisting in the smooth and efficient management of the Talent and Culture department.
Fairmont The Palm is a world-class luxury resort located on Dubai’s famous Palm Jumeirah island. The hotel features 391 rooms and suites with rooms and a lounge dedicated to Fairmont Gold. A total of 11 food and beverage outlets on the property offer international dining options including Little Miss India, Frevo – Brazilian Churrasco Experience, Seagrill Bistro, Ba Restaurant and Lounge, Blowfish, Flow Kitchen, The Cigar Room, Vuvuzela and more. Fairmont The Palm also features an extensive swimming pool, beach area with health club, Willow Stream Resort and Fairmont Falcons Children’s Resort.
Summary of responsibilities:
– Be a source of information for all hotel colleagues at any time
Always be available to welcome, assist and guide colleagues who enter the T&C office, assist with their inquiries, or direct them to the right person to speak with
Use an “open door” policy to acknowledge colleagues’ problems or concerns in a timely manner
Ensure that all issues are referred to the Department Head for resolution or escalation to the Cluster Manager for talent and culture
Take an active part in projects and initiatives across the hotel
– Booking of airline tickets, in coordination with our agencies, for new employees and colleagues on vacation
– Decorate and update the corridor of colleagues with posters and advertisements
Ensure that the cafeteria, lockers and common areas are always clean and in compliance with standards
Ensure that colleagues’ files contain the required worksheets and create files for new colleagues
Ensure that medical records are kept in a separate, secure and confidential medical file.
Ensure that start, change and termination information for all employees is accurately completed, entered into the system and reported to the Payroll Department.
Ensures that the Cluster, Talent and Culture Manager is informed of all starters, changes and terminations.
Ensure that all colleagues’ files are up to date – and to ensure that colleagues’ information is kept confidential at all times, in line with data protection legislation.
Supporting the talent and culture team in all administrative tasks
Other duties assigned
Human resources background, preferably in a luxury hotel
Understanding of labor and employment law
– Strong oral and written communication skills
– Ability to train and develop team members
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative
– Excellent organizational skills
Flexible personality, able to multitask and deal well under pressure
Excellent knowledge of Oasys, Outloot, Excel, Powerpoint and Word
– Excellent communication skills, written and spoken in English
