Tajikistan introduces 30-day visa waiver for Bahrainis, nationals from 51 other countries

Dushanbe, Jan. 3 (BNA): Tajikistan’s decision to waive visa requirements for Bahrainis has entered into force.

In October, Tajikistan said it would introduce on January 1, 2022 a visa-free travel system for citizens of Bahrain and 51 other countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and the United States.

The decision, which is believed to boost the country’s investment prospects and competitiveness as a tourist destination, set a 30-day deadline for foreign residents to stay in Tajikistan.

Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi said, in a press conference in Riyadh, that nationals of 52 countries can enter Tajikistan “without a prior visa, whether electronic or paper, or upon arrival at the airport,” according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). ) mentioned.
