Swedish PM condemns burning of a copy of Holy Quran in Sweden

Stockholm, January 22 (BNA): Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in Stockholm.

“Freedom of expression is an essential part of democracy,” Kristerson wrote on Twitter.

“But what is legal is not necessarily appropriate. Burning holy books for many is a very disrespectful act. I want to express my sympathy to all Muslims who were offended by what happened in Stockholm,” he wrote on his Twitter account where he has more than 192,000 followers.
