Tokyo, May 9 (BNA): Minister of Sustainable Development, Nour bint Ali Al-Khulaif, met with Japanese Minister of Digital Affairs Taro Kono.
Al-Khulaif affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening Bahraini-Japanese relations in all sectors, especially in the field of sustainable development.
The meeting discussed the effective use of digital technology in achieving sustainable development goals, and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in this field.
They reviewed ways of adopting modern technologies to support the goals of sustainable development in Bahrain.
The Minister also met Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo, and was briefed on the Japanese capital’s plans to achieve sustainability, reduce energy consumption, integrate sustainable development goals into future plans, and launch the Smart Sustainable Cities Conference.
