Suez Canal’s daily traffic rate reaches all-time record

Cairo, August 6 (BNA) Traffic through the Egyptian Suez Canal on Saturday reached an all-time record for a day in the history of the waterway, as 89 ships carrying a total net tonnage of 5.2 million tons passed through the canal in Egypt. Both directions.


The head of the Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabie, said in a statement that a total of 44 ships crossed the canal from the north with a net tonnage of three million tons, while 45 ships crossed from the south with a net tonnage of 3 million tons. 2.2 million tons.
