Students use National Museum scavenger hunt to delve into Bahrain’s history

Manama, Nov. 16 (BNA): Students from Bahrain School participated in a historical scavenger hunt at the Bahrain National Museum to enhance their knowledge of the Dilmun civilization, early civilizations in the eastern hemisphere, and humans living together in settlements.

All sixth graders were asked a series of questions on Progress by Individual Identification (AVID) by teachers related to the settlements and early civilizations represented in the museum and their customs and traditions, and wrote the answers.

They also had pictures of objects on display in the museum – such as the Dilmun seal – and had to locate them and write summaries.

Students who were also trained to use listening and observation skills during the field trip experiments had about two hours to complete the tasks.

Their work is discussed later during class. It has also been used to enhance students’ communication about common customs, beliefs, ideas, and languages ​​that give group identity.

It also aims to enhance the understanding of collaboration through working in groups during team building and motivational or problem-solving activities.
