Students from Bahrain Mission to Space Camp participate in Dubai Aishow

Dubai, Jan. 2 (BNA) Two students from the Bahrain mission to the International Space Camp, Amna Al-Basmait and Reem Al-Hamr, participated in the Dubai Airshow, accompanied by Amal Al-Binali.

Team members met with Tom Kallman, President and CEO of Kallman Worldwide, former US astronaut Brigadier General Charles Duke, astronaut support crew member for the Apollo 10 flight, Capsule Communicator for Apollo 11, lunar module reserve pilot on Apollo 13, and lunar module pilot for Apollo 16 in 1972, becoming the tenth and youngest person to walk on the moon.

The meeting comes at the request of Kallman Worldwide for mission members, who are assigned to participate in the International Space Camp to advance their knowledge in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

On this occasion, Amal Jassim Al-Binali, Head of Strategic Planning and Project Management at the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), expressed her sincere thanks to Kalman International for giving the students the opportunity to meet and speak with Charles Duke. About his personal experience.

The former astronaut held two seminars at the Dubai Airshow and Expo 2020 Dubai, in which he shed light on his upbringing, training and unique experience in walking on the surface of the moon. He also answered public inquiries.

Al-Binali expressed his thanks to the executive management of the authority and its board of directors for their continuous support for everything that aims to raise awareness among various social segments, as well as contribute to shaping the future directions of young people.
