Manama, November 2 (BNA) Dr. Sven Simon, head of the European Parliament delegation for relations with the Arabian Peninsula, stressed the importance of strengthening the role of parliaments in the world and consolidating the principles of democracy as the best of them. way to a better life.

Dr. Simon said that seeing an effective parliament in Bahrain is a very good experience.

In an exclusive statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he said that some traditions seem familiar to me from the experience of the European Parliament.

Simon, a member of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats), stressed that the practice of democracy is the best way to achieve stability and political stability in particular.

He added that the blocs within Parliament and the differences in opinions are healthy manifestations of Parliament and parliamentary democracy, which is the way to organize democratic life.

He said that the acceptance and consensus that occurs after extensive discussions in the House of Representatives lends legitimacy to the decisions.

Simon added that parliamentary democracy is by far the best system for organizing democracy because it brings legitimacy and acceptance to sessions.

I believe that parliamentary diplomacy is very important and that parliaments around the world should focus on trade relations, strengthening the rule of law and parliamentary democracy. Simon said I see parliamentary diplomacy as a first step to closer ties and closer cooperation.

It was also necessary to strengthen the principle of separation of powers, which in my opinion was something that all parliaments of the world should work on, he said.
