Your role and responsibilities
IBM Systems Lab Services is looking for an IT management consultant with experience in IBM storage technology and products to lead and deliver the pre-sales and after-sales customer engagements that enable certification of IBM storage systems.

The ideal candidates will have demonstrated a successful history of designing and deploying high-quality, complex storage solutions to clients in response to different business requirements, can independently assess IT infrastructures, assess gaps in best practices and create recommendations for IBM storage solutions for customer environments while demonstrating excellent collaboration and communication with clients. and vendors, business partners and colleagues by providing reports to clients.

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for developing and delivering the design, architecture and implementation of IBM storage solutions which may include:

Develop and deliver advisory evaluations and workshops for the IBM Spectrum product suite
Design and deployment of IBM Spectrum Scale and IBM ESS
Design and deploy a Storage Cloud solution for the PaaS cloud platform (Kubernetes, Redhat Openshift, etc.)
Storage solutions support for VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V and Power Linux
– OpenStack API development and integration
Automation using Shell, Ansible, or similar programming language

This role requires a solid knowledge of SAN domain and storage, with an emphasis on IBM storage systems. You will work with IBM customers, sales partners, and customers to develop, scale, and deliver IBM storage solutions including the software-defined storage portfolio. Candidates must possess a solid background in consulting and professional services and knowledge of IBM’s warehousing portfolio.

Professional and Technical Experience Required:

At least 7+ years of work experience in the storage field and 3 years of experience in IBM Storage
Thorough understanding of storage concepts including storage architecture and fiber channel
Hands-on experience managing multi-vendor enterprise class storage systems (Block switches, NAS and SAN)
Experience with hybrid storage solutions
Must have experience in storage automation and understanding of daily scripting tasks
Experience in disaster recovery planning and deployment including storage replication, point-in-time replication
– Good verbal and written communication skills
Customer-facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, and reporting presentations.
Project management and the ability to collaborate across teams globally
Networking skills especially knowledge of TCP/IP
Ability to lead technical workshops for clients up to 20+ people
Candidate must be self-organised, eager to learn with a strong sense of analysis and troubleshooting skills
Readiness to travel up to 20% annually
– English: fluent
