Amazon Compliance Operations (C-Ops) ensures that every product and service offered by Amazon’s consumer division meets compliance and safety policies as defined by external regulators and Amazon policies. C-Ops perform activities such as product classification, either independently or with technical assistance such as machine learning, compliance document reviews, syntax authoring, selling partner problem solving, and quality audits. Through these actions, we coordinate the transactions that are regulated such as warehousing, shipping, selling and import/export. We are also responsible for keeping Amazon customers safe and informed by coordinating actions about product recalls. These procedures include removing recalled/restricted products from the Site and our Fulfillment Centers, and contacting customers with relevant safety information.

As a Senior Compliance Assistant, you will have multiple opportunities to develop your functional expertise within the processes outlined above. In addition, we provide autonomy to make decisions, implement ideas, and measure results.

Your job responsibilities as the Senior Compliance Officer may include:

Classification of products based on standard operating procedures within task metrics such as quality, productivity and service level agreement.
– Write sentences that automatically classify similar products under a given policy.
Respond to product compliance issues raised by internal and external stakeholders such as seller managers, area managers, or Amazon selling partners.

In addition, you may be expected to take on a greater organizational role through the following:
Initiate and implement initiatives to enhance process, quality, efficiency and customer experience.
– Holding training and orientation sessions for colleagues.
Analyze quality and process issues to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Basic qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred.
1-2 years of experience in data-driven business operations;
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (B2 level);
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and web browsers (eg Chrome, Mozilla Firefox).
Extreme attention to detail and abilities to make decisions based on given instructions in ambiguous contexts;

qualifications preferred
Knowledge of product compliance regulations (eg commercial compliance, dangerous goods);
Basic knowledge of SQL.
– Proficiency in other languages ​​(eg German, French, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, etc.)
