Muscat, September 22 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal praised the strong fraternal ties linking the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, describing them as a role model in fraternal relations. She stressed the strong brotherly relations between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives was speaking during today’s visit, accompanied by the delegation accompanying her, to the Omani State Council, where she was received by the Speaker of the Council, Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on parliamentary issues of common interest.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed that parliamentary cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman is one of the priorities of the legislative authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain due to the strong partnership and advanced coordination at all levels.
The Omani State Council Chairman praised the visit and the meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and her accompanying delegation, noting the distinguished cooperation between the two legislative authorities in the two countries. He also expressed his keenness to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation to serve the common interests of the two countries and peoples.
