Speaker stresses support for enhancing Bahraini-Pakistani cooperation

Islamabad, November 17 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal affirmed the depth of strong relations and cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the President of the Republic. Arif Alvi, and thanks for the cooperation between the government of Bahrain led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his Pakistani counterpart led by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Zainal, who is on a visit to Pakistan with a parliamentary delegation, praised the Bahraini-Pakistani relations, which are based on solid foundations for joint action and a common desire to open wider horizons for them in a way. In order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples, and to continue fruitful bilateral cooperation in the economic and commercial sectors, by activating the existing joint agreements between them.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives’ statements came during the official Bahraini-Pakistani parliamentary meeting held here, in the presence of the Kingdom’s ambassador to Pakistan, Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed.

During the meeting, the two sides affirmed their keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in regional and international parliamentary forums.

The Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, stressed the depth of the distinguished relations and cooperation between the two countries, noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain is a strategic country for economic investment for Pakistan and the countries of the region. He stressed that the relations between the two countries are ideal thanks to their common goals and joint efforts.

He praised the Kingdom’s comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, stressing the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to enhance joint cooperation.

He affirmed Parliament’s support for bilateral investment and economic projects and coordinating positions in parliamentary gatherings.

The two sides stressed the importance of benefiting from mutual visits to strengthen partnerships in various fields, especially the parliamentary field.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives and her accompanying delegation attended part of the regular session of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
