Speaker stresses keenness on developing parliamentary work

Manama, May 3 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam stressed the importance of developing parliamentary work through modern technologies and digital transformations in light of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Issa Al Khalifa.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives indicated that the House of Representatives is keen to keep pace with the trends of the electronic transformation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union to improve the mechanisms of parliamentary work and activate the legislative and oversight tools to serve the country and the citizen. He thanked the General Secretariat, led by Counselor Rashid Mohammed Bounjema, for supporting parliamentary work and developing performance.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives was speaking during the inauguration ceremony today of the “Adwat” system, in the presence of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abdul Nabi Salman, the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Abdel Wahed Qarata, and deputies and officials from the General Secretariat.

The system allows MPs to submit and follow up their legislative and oversight tools easily by sending MPs’ requests electronically.
