Manama, Jan. 22 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam stressed the importance of supporting national sports activity and achieving the desired goals within the framework of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He also praised the efforts of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing the youth and sports sector.
This came during his meeting with the President of the Bahrain and International Federation of Sports for All, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for Bahrain Sports Day, Issa Mohammed Abdul Rahim, who presented the House of Representatives with an open invitation to participate in the Bahrain Sports Day, which will be held over three days in February.
The President of the Council affirmed the Council’s support for Bahraini sports in light of the continuous efforts made by His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. .
He also congratulated Issa Abdul Rahim for the confidence bestowed on him by the Vice President of the Supreme Youth Council, President of the Public Authority for Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in entrusting him with organizing the Bahrain Sports Day in the Bahrain Sports for All Federation and assigning him to head the Supreme Organizing Committee for the year second in a row.
Issa Abdul Rahim expressed his gratitude to the Speaker of Parliament for welcoming the invitation to participate in the event, stressing that the event will have a positive impact on the sports sector in Bahrain.
