Manama, October 19 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal met with First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Jamal Muhammad Fakhro and the delegation participating in the 145th General Assembly and 210th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives said that the legislative renaissance and parliamentary achievements at the local and international levels in Bahrain are the result of the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
She said that Bahrain’s reputation and its good achievements made the Kingdom gain confidence to host the 146th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in March, which is considered the largest parliamentary meeting.
Zainal discussed the results of the delegation’s meeting with the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Duarte Pacheco and other officials in the Union, and praised the efforts of the National Committee to make the 146th meeting a success by organizing meetings with several organizations.
