Madrid, November 26 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, head of the parliamentary delegation participating in the 143rd session of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, stressed the importance of continuing cooperation. Among the parliaments of Islamic countries in promoting joint parliamentary action and unifying positions and visions on various issues.
This came during the meeting of heads of legislative councils in Islamic countries, which was held today on the sidelines of the 143rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and its accompanying meetings, held in Madrid, Spain.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives discussed, during his meeting with the heads of Islamic legislative councils, ways to enhance joint parliamentary action and unify visions among the legislative branches in Islamic countries. They also exchanged views on the issues on the agenda of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the adoption of unified policies regarding issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by the parliamentary delegation consisting of First Vice President Abdul Nabi Salman, Representative Muhammad Issa Abbasi and the Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Counselor Rachid Muhammad Bongmeh.
