Speaker reviews Bahraini achievements at all levels with Belgian speaker and senate president

Brussels, May 16 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia Bint Abdullah Zainal met with Speaker of the Belgian Parliament, Illane Tello, and President of the Belgian Senate, Stephanie Dose.


The meeting highlighted the importance of the partnership between the parliaments of the two kingdoms, and stressed that this meeting constitutes a step towards translating the common will to build on the distinguished relations that unite the two countries, and the continuous endeavor to develop relations of cooperation and coordination. In all areas, work to develop them.



Zainal reviewed the achievement achieved by Bahrain in confronting Covid-19, stressing that the national efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have led to impressive results to overcome the epidemic.




The Speaker of the House of Representatives referred to the steady progress Bahrain is witnessing in developing the education and health systems, and the great efforts it is making in the field of human rights care.



She emphasized that the Kingdom set out towards advanced levels in launching qualitative and innovative programs, as it expanded the scope of application of the alternative penal law, and launched the Open Prisons Project.



Zainal stressed that His Majesty’s reform project, which was launched more than two decades ago, has produced examples of success that must be emulated, noting that one of the most successful endeavors is the experience of Bahraini women, which has left a great impact. Its impact on the transition of Bahraini women from the stage of empowerment to the stage of progress in all fields.
