Speaker receives Russian human rights delegation

Manama, November 8 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received a delegation from the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation headed by Professor Tatiana Moskalkova.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields, especially legal and parliamentary.

The two sides also reviewed the legislative authority’s achievements in protecting and promoting human rights.

The spokesman stressed the depth of the historical relations between Bahrain and Russia in all fields under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Vladimir Putin, wishing the Russian people good health and happiness and Russia further progress and prosperity.

She stressed that the Kingdom pays special attention to issues of promoting, preserving and preserving human rights in accordance with its constitution and the National Action Charter.

The Russian delegation praised Bahrain’s democratic experience represented in His Majesty’s reform project and the role of the House of Representatives in supporting the human rights system in the Kingdom through laws and legislation.

The Commissioner stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of human rights and parliamentary affairs at the regional and international levels, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
