Speaker receives Parliament Affairs Minister

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities to enhance the democratic process and embody the royal visions rooted in His Majesty the King. Speech on the occasion of the opening of the first session of the sixth legislative term.

He praised the royal speech and the valuable directives it contained to draw a road map for the next stage. He affirmed that the House of Representatives will continue to build on the previous achievements made during the previous legislative periods, stressing the continuation of cooperation with the Shura Council, the government, official and civil institutions, and all components of Bahraini society.

He was speaking during his meeting with Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim bin Fadel Al-Buainain today. They discussed issues of common concern and preparations for the new legislative term. Ways to enhance cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities to serve the country and the citizen were also reviewed.

The Minister of Parliament Affairs extended his sincere congratulations to the Speaker of the House of Representatives for the confidence bestowed on him by the people and members of the House of Representatives. He stressed the importance of continuous cooperation to serve the country and citizens and support the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty the King.
