Manama, June 29 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received a delegation from the Awal Women’s Association headed by Nasra Muhammad Al-Najjar, which presented publications on the occasion of the golden jubilee of AWS.
Zainal stressed the achievements made by Bahraini women in the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, the government’s actions headed by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and pro-women legislation.
The President of the Council also praised the special role of the Supreme Council for Women, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, in raising the status of women and supporting their participation in the nation-building process.
