Madrid, December 3 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s reform project has put Bahrain on the right track for comprehensive development, progress and great success. Zainal pointed out that the efforts of HRH Princess Sabeeka have strengthened the Kingdom’s position as a pioneer in deepening the role of women, noting that the Supreme Council for Women is a unique intellectual institution thanks to its role in enhancing the role of Bahraini women.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives made these statements during his meeting with the President of the Uzbek Senate, Zulu Kamalovna Narbaeva, on the sidelines of the closing session of the 143rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which was held here.
Zainal highlighted the steps of Bahraini women in various fields, citing the efforts and initiatives related to women emanating from the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Tanzila Narbaeva praised Bahrain’s pioneering experience in empowering women and making them an effective partner in building their country, stressing their interest in closely acquainting them with them, especially with regard to the initiatives that were launched and the institutional base on which they were founded.
She stressed the keenness of the Uzbek Senate to develop its cooperation and joint work with the legislative authority in Bahrain.
