Zainal’s speech came during her meeting here today with the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), Dima Al-Yahya, as part of her official visit to Pakistan.
During the meeting, which was attended by the parliamentary delegation accompanying it, the Speaker of Parliament highly valued the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish the District Coordination Office, expressing his pride in the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain and other founding member states.
She praised the role, goals and vision of the DCO aimed at ensuring a better digital future, through the use of technology for all by supporting and empowering women, youth and businessmen to serve the sustainable development goals.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Coordination Office in various fields.
Dima Al-Yahya praised Bahrain’s support for DCO’s efforts to achieve a digital future for all, noting that the Kingdom is an integral part of DCO and one of its founding members.
She stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has a distinguished experience in digital transformation, stressing its effective efforts to achieve regional and international integration and cooperation in this vital field.
The Digital Cooperation Organization was established in 2020 by seven member countries to drive greater collaboration and collaboration across entrepreneurship, innovation, business growth and employment in a shared digital economy.
Its seven founding countries are Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Nigeria and Oman.
