Manama, Mar. 12 (BNA): The Board of Directors of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the administrative and policy-making body, elected Speaker of the Bahraini Parliament, Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, as President of the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Al-Musallam expressed his thanks and appreciation for the confidence of the participants, and said that their confidence is a parliamentary responsibility for constructive dialogues, deeper cooperation, collective action, and the realization of aspirations.
The Speaker of Parliament added that he looks forward to the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which Bahrain is hosting, to be a milestone in the collective work of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
