Speaker congratulates HM King, HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister on International Day of Conscience

Manama, Apr. 4 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam expressed his sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince. Prime Minister, on the International Day of Conscience approved by the United Nations, in response to the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. It is celebrated on April 5 every year.

The Speaker of Parliament expressed his pride in Bahrain’s unwavering keenness to promote tolerance, peace and coexistence in the world, which made it a role model in this regard. He stressed the Parliament’s keenness to invest legislative work and parliamentary diplomacy in achieving the goals of the International Day of Conscience and rapprochement among peoples. He pointed out that the world’s celebration of this occasion adds to the Kingdom’s many initiatives to support efforts to promote tolerance and rapprochement.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives affirmed Bahrain’s continuous comprehensive development march under the leadership of His Majesty the King, affirming commitment to the values ​​and principles emanating from the civilizational heritage, the Islamic religion, the authentic Arab culture, the National Action Charter and the constitution. He referred to the programs and conferences hosted by the Kingdom to promote dialogue and rapprochement, praising the efforts and achievements of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, the King Hamad Chair in Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence at the Italian Sapienza University in Rome, and the Bahrain Declaration for the Promotion of Religious Freedom.
