Southern Governorate concludes national celebrations

Manama, December 25 (BNA) The Southern Governorate concluded its celebrations of the Kingdom’s national holidays to commemorate the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Islamic state founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783 AD. Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.

The celebrations, which were held under the patronage of the Governor of the South, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, included the traditional parade performances in Riffa, Zallaq and Khalifa City, in addition to other events held in Isa Town.

The Southern Governorate also held a historical photo exhibition in the Wadi Al-Sail residential complex, to highlight the city of Riffa and other monuments.

The festivities also included entertainment activities for children, fireworks on the December 16 highway and a radio competition that attracted around 10,000 people.
