Sous Chef at the Hibachi outlet will lead the Hibachi team in producing exceptional Japanese food such as Sushi and Teppanyaki that will keep guests coming back for more.
What will you do:
– Leads the team in the entire kitchen operation at the Hibachi outlet;
Provides guidance for entry-level kitchen staff, including, cooking line, food preparation, and proper coating, particularly in Japanese food;
– Monitors kitchen items and ingredients.
– Keeps cooking stations full, especially before and during key operating hours;
Manage food and product orders by keeping detailed records and minimizing waste, as well as working with existing systems to improve waste minimization and manage budget concerns;
Works with the Executive Chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff capacity and training opportunities;
Ensures that all food storage units meet standards and are well managed;
– The chef helps in developing the menu;
Skills and qualifications:
– At least 5 years experience in the same position
– Strong background in cooking Japanese food, including but not limited to sushi and teppanyaki
– Strong organizational skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Extensive knowledge of food and drinks
– Ability to work under pressure
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
