Work summary
The Amazon MENA team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building great products for our customers. SDE-II will be based in Amman, Jordan and must have software engineering experience including solving complex problems. The SDE-II will:
Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high level of quality for all team deliverables
Writing high quality distributed system software
Work in a startup-like agile development environment, where you always work on the most important things.
Experience with multiple programming languages ​​such as Java, J2EE, Python, TS, JS, .NET

Basic qualifications
Industry experience of more than 5 years in software engineering design and operation of scalable software systems
Oral and written communication skills (ability to produce operating manuals and technical and non-technical documentation)
Experience in training junior software development engineers including code review and design review
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical disciplines
Experience with AWS and/or Cloud Computing
Experience in web services and microservice engineering

qualifications preferred
Ability to formulate and lead effective solutions to technical and business challenges
· Good handling of ambiguous/unspecified problems. The ability to think abstractly
Experience working with product vision leadership to deliver long-term value to clients and advertisers
Willingness to own all phases of the development process: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and operational support
Excellent personal communication with strong verbal/written English language skills
