Social Development Minister receives Bahrain Charitable Society members

Manama, Jan. 13 (BNA): The Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, received the President of the Bahraini Charitable Society, Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo.

The minister praised the association’s various activities in serving humanitarian fields, and affirmed the ministry’s continuous support for the efforts and initiatives of civil organizations to encourage charitable work.

Kanoo reviewed the most important goals and projects of the society and his keenness to build partnership with other civil society institutions.

The meeting reviewed ways of cooperation between the Ministry and the community in the development and social fields, in addition to the facilities provided by the Ministry to NGOs.
