Manama. January 12 (BNA): The Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, received heads of Islamic, charitable and social associations registered under the supervision of the Ministry.
The meeting discussed ways to advance voluntary and humanitarian work, and reviewed the developmental charity programs and ways to support them.
The minister praised the efforts of charities and humanitarian organizations and the various projects and services they provide to the needy.
He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and pointed to the importance of community partnership between the various parties to facilitate the work of charitable institutions and associations in order to improve their services and contributions to the promotion of development work.
The presidents praised the Ministry’s efforts and its keenness to promote the principle of community work to improve its voluntary and humanitarian services.
