Manama, September 14 (BNA) Minister of Social Development Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor received the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for Training and Development headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Banna.
The meeting reviewed the most prominent activities of the Society and its programs in caring for the elderly, and ways to improve its services to enhance charitable work efforts in Bahrain, within the framework of a community partnership between official and civil authorities.
Al-Asfour praised the association’s achievements and its support for government efforts in providing aid and assistance to the elderly, in line with the support of non-governmental organizations.
He stressed the ministry’s keenness to overcome all obstacles that may face charitable and voluntary associations.
Al-Banna praised the Ministry’s efforts in supporting NGOs and providing them with opportunities to exercise their charitable and humanitarian role in the Kingdom.
