Soccer star Zidane melts hearts with new Paris wax statue

Paris, October 25 (BNA) One of the world’s greatest footballers, Zinedine Zidane, received a new wax statue unveiled in his honor on Monday at the Griffin Museum in Paris, the equivalent of Madame Tussauds in the French capital.

Zaidan, who was dressed in an elegant suit and accompanied by his wife, smiled as he stood next to his waxy husbands, according to Reuters.

Zidane, now 50, led France to the World Cup finals for the first time in 1998, scoring twice in the final against Brazil, then winning the European Championship in 2000 with France.

He also inspired an aging French side in the 2006 World Cup Final, but left the match in disgrace after being sent off for butting an Italian opponent. France ended up losing to Italy.

Zidane also won the Champions League in 2002 with Real Madrid and then returned to the Spanish club as its coach, and led Real Madrid to win three titles in the Champions League. Zidane left Real Madrid at the end of the 2020-2021 season.
