Our Architectural and Engineering Consulting requires that a Project Engineer be deployed on our site projects, be a highly committed, responsible and creative individual, have excellent interpersonal skills, work well under pressure, and have the ability to supervise and manage construction from the finishes stage to handover.
The main responsibilities include:
• Supervising the construction of the project from the stage of finishes to completion.
• Responsible for the supervision and quality control of the contractor’s building for finishing works (blockworks, plaster work, cladding, carpentry, aluminum, etc.) as per contract drawings and specifications.
• Attending and assisting site meetings, coordinating with major and sub-contractors, and ensuring information is provided to the site.
• Conduct field visits to assigned construction sites at least once a week and issue feedback in SOR or NCR site visit report format to the contractor.
• On-site quality control and defect inspections.
• Review IFC drawings before they are released to the site
• Act as a master record for project submissions covering all disciplines. Monitoring and distribution to the concerned team for input and follow-up to ensure that submissions are released during the contracting period.
• To record any changes to the site by filling in the change form and raising any concerns about potential cost and time implied by the contractor
• Stay aware of local authority regulations and approvals and be fully aware of any modifications that apply to the project and ensure that contractors comply with them.
• Reviewing all technical submissions related to architecture during the contracting period.
• Handle coordination with all disciplines ARCH, Interior Design, Landscaping, Structure, Mechanical and Electrical with Main Contractor, and be responsible for resolving all issues/clashes without affecting the design.
• Develop and maintain a list of actions for assigned projects and distribute the list to the team for follow-up.
• Adopt a proactive approach in coordination with the project engineer and other relevant parties in resolving any issues or concerns affecting business progress and initiating steps to address them in a timely manner.
• Be aware of the project’s progress. Planned and achieved regularly.
requirements:
• Degree in Architectural Engineering
• Minimum 8 years experience in Architectural Engineering
• Proven work experience in site construction supervision
• Technical skills must include proficiency in Revit & Autocad
• Good hand drawing skills desirable
• PMP certification is a plus
