Shura Second Deputy Chairman meets with Burundian Senate Speaker

Mbabane, May 12 (BNA): The Second Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al-Fadhel, met with the President of the Senate of the Republic of Burundi, Emmanuel Senzoguerra, on the sidelines of the tenth consultative meeting of the Assembly. The Senate, Shura and Equivalent Councils of Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA), convening in the Kingdom of Eswatini from 11 to 13 May.

Dr. Al-Fadhel stressed the importance of developing parliamentary relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Burundi in a way that enhances cooperation in issues of common concern. She pointed to the increasing interest of the legislative authority in Bahrain in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy to strengthen relations with brotherly and friendly countries.

Dr. Al-Fadil praised the parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Burundian Senate, wishing to achieve the set goals.

The President of the Burundian Senate praised the deep and historical relations between the two friendly countries, praising the Shura Council’s keenness to enhance the principles of solidarity and teamwork, praising Bahrain’s democratic march.
