Shura member hails Bahraini women’s successful participation in decision-making process

Kigali, October 14 (BNA) Member of the Shura Council and member of the Bahraini parliamentary delegation in the forty-fifth session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and related meetings in Rwanda Hala Ramzi Fayez praised the constitutional progress represented in the Kingdom. The legislative system that gave Bahraini women a wide scope for active and positive political participation, which paved the way for them to assume parliamentary and leadership positions in constitutional institutions, as well as contribute to the decision-making process in various official and private bodies.


Ramzi attributed the progress and achievements of Bahraini women and their continuation in holding local and international leadership positions to the forward-looking vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince. , Prime Minister.


Ramzi highlighted the pivotal role played by the Supreme Council for Women under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King, to advance Bahraini women in all fields, including enhancing their political participation in decision-making positions, which contributed to their success in He held many leadership positions in the legislative and executive branches.

The Shura member was speaking while moderating the panel discussion entitled “Towards Gender Equality: Celebrating Understanding the Achievements of Women Parliamentary Clusters”, which was held as part of the 145th Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held here.


Ramzi expressed her pride in the advanced level reached by Bahraini women, which was reflected in her remarkable success in the executive positions she occupied, noting that the Supreme Council for Women created favorable conditions to activate policies, programs and plans to support the integration of women’s needs into development programs, which represents a contribution to Achieving gender balance and increasing women’s participation in the legislative authority and elections as candidates or voters.
