Manama, May 31 (BNA) First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Jamal Muhammad Fakhro affirmed that the steady progress of the solid Bahraini-Omani relations is the result of the common foundations and visions between the two countries. – Fraternal and strategic ties supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman.
He also expressed his deep pride in the strong partnership that exists between the two brotherly countries, and the progress he is witnessing in all fields.
Fakhro’s statements came when he received here today, the Chairman of the Omani Shura Council, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, and his accompanying delegation, who are visiting the Kingdom.
The meeting was attended by Chargé d’Affairs of the Omani Embassy in Bahrain, Second Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Jamila Ali Salman, a number of members of the Shura Council and the Secretary-General of the Shura Council.
Jamal Fakhro highlighted the continuous coordination between the two countries, and their keenness to deepen their cooperation in the developmental, economic, commercial and investment fields, stressing the depth of the relations of love and brotherhood between the two countries and their peoples.
He praised the distinguished relations between the two legislative authorities in the two countries, praising the advanced level of their coordination and stances towards the topics and issues discussed in regional and international parliamentary forums.
He also praised the outstanding performance of Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali and his efforts in strengthening the work of the Omani Shura Council.
Parliament Speaker Al-Maawali expressed his deep pride in the solid Omani-Bahraini relations, noting that the relations between the two brotherly countries are growing steadily thanks to the directives of their leadership.
He praised the role played by the Bahraini Shura Council to enhance relations between the legislative councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, stressing the Omani Shura Council’s keenness to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences with the legislative authority in the Kingdom.
