Shura Council condemns burning of Holy Quran copies by extremists

Manama, April 19 (BNA) The Shura Council strongly condemned and denounced the extremists’ burning of copies of the Noble Qur’an in the Swedish city of Norrköping, in a provocative act against Muslims, a grave insult to their sanctities and incitement. to hate and violence.


The Council stressed that these abhorrent practices that contradict freedom of religion and belief and coexistence must be strongly condemned by the international community.


The Shura Council called for concerted efforts to consolidate the values ​​of tolerance, coexistence and religious freedoms, to combat extremism, fanaticism and exclusion, and to prevent abuse of all religions and beliefs.
