Shura Council Chairman hails royal keynote speech

Manama, July 16 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, praised the keynote speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He described the summit as a regional platform for regional security and development, noting that the meeting stressed the importance of strategic partnership to address political, security and economic developments.

He pointed out that “the summit that brought together the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Jordanian king, the Egyptian president, the Iraqi prime minister and the American president emphasized the pivotal political, economic and security role of the Arab countries.”

His Majesty the King said, “His Majesty’s speech reflects the Arab responsibility towards the issues of the region, especially the Palestinian cause,” quoting His Majesty, who stressed the need to resolve the Palestinian issue through a just and lasting settlement and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. According to the two-state solution.

He said that the high-level presence of the Kingdom of Bahrain reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation with other countries, in a way that supports security, stability and peace at the regional and global levels.

He praised the outcome of the summit, which, he said, reflected the hopes and aspirations of the peoples in strengthening Arab-American cooperation, stressing the importance of the security and economic issues discussed in the summit.
