Manama, February 12 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, received today the Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, Dr. Hanafi Ali Al-Jabali and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Jamal Muhammad Fakhro, Second Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Jamila Ali Salman, members of the Shura Council, the Secretary-General and Chairman of the Council of Legal Advisers.
The Speaker of the Shura Council stressed the strong and growing relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt thanks to the patronage and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. He praised the growing cooperation between the two brotherly countries and the common interest in achieving the interests of the two countries and peoples. He also praised the advanced level of bilateral parliamentary cooperation and the joint keenness to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy.
The Shura Council Speaker praised Egypt’s efforts to preserve Arab unity and achieve comprehensive peace in the region. He praised the great development that Egypt is witnessing under its wise leadership.
For his part, Dr. Al-Jabali expressed his pride in the advanced level of Bahraini-Egyptian relations, stressing keenness to achieve common aspirations. He praised the development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty, and the concerted efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s position at the Arab, regional and international levels.
