Manama, Jan. 8 (BNA): Shura Council Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh affirmed that the programs and initiatives of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) contribute to shedding light on the tremendous efforts that are being made to consolidate awareness of democracy. The Chairman of the Shura Council made these statements while receiving here today the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute, Ali bin Muhammad Al-Rumaihi, in the presence of a member of the Shura Council and a member of the Institute, Dr. Bassam Ismail bin Muhammad, and the Executive Director of the Institute, Iman Faisal Janahi. Al-Saleh indicated that the information and statistics included in the report reflect the sincere efforts made by the institute over the past year, in addition to its intensive programs throughout the electoral process in the Kingdom.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Development and International Cooperation affirmed the institute’s keenness to continue its endeavors aimed at consolidating the democratic process in the Kingdom, which is one of the major achievements of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, within the national foundations based on strengthening. The values of loyalty, belonging and the rule of law.
Al-Rumaihi expressed his sincere thanks to the Speaker of the Shura Council for his continuous follow-up of the Institute’s activities and events, stressing that the Institute will continue its constructive cooperation with the legislative authority to achieve its founding goals, and to maximize the Kingdom’s democratic achievements in the level of popular participation in the decision-making process.
He added that the institute will continue to implement its national mission, by launching initiatives that promote sound democratic action, and prepare qualified youth to contribute to political work.
He also affirmed the institute’s commitment to promoting national values and foundations, and strengthening loyalty and national belonging based on pride in the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as in its Arab identity and culture built on solid foundations of pluralism and tolerance. and peaceful coexistence among all segments of society.
