Manama, October 27 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, said that documenting the history of Bahrain’s cities and regions contributes to highlighting its civilizational and cultural dimensions and the most important stages of its inception and development.
Al-Saleh called for intensifying research and studies to provide national libraries with publications documenting the beginnings of all regions of Bahrain as an essential part of the Kingdom’s modern history.
He issued the call as soon as he received Salah Al-Jowder, who presented him with a copy of his book on Muharraq in 1783.
Al-Saleh praised Al-Jowder’s work and praised the rich and important information in his book on the great development and progress of Muharraq over several decades.
