Shura Chairman hails government’s continued success in fulfilling Fiscal Balance Program

Manama, August 15 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, affirmed that the continued success in achieving the objectives of the Fiscal Balance Program in accordance with the established plans reflects the government’s sound approach in adopting them. Effective initiatives and innovative programs that support the development paths the Kingdom is witnessing thanks to the support and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He expressed his pride in His Majesty’s support and sponsorship of various fields of progress in the Kingdom in a way that enhances national gains and achieves more prosperity for the country and its citizens.

He praised the tremendous efforts made by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to increase revenues.

In this regard, he praised the results of the semi-annual financial report that was announced during the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers headed by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The results showed an increase in the actual revenues collected by 52%, achieving 33 million Bahraini dinars in savings, which contributed to reducing the financing needs to repay international public debt bonds.

He also praised the fruitful efforts led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to establish best practices in various government departments.

He also praised the positive steps taken by the relevant authorities, which led to a decrease in the unemployment rate from 7.5% to 5.7% and the employment of 1,432 Bahrainis during the last period.

Al-Saleh affirmed the legislative authority’s keenness to deepen cooperation and coordination with the executive authority to achieve more national achievements that support the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty.
