Manama, July 24 (BNA) Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Sheikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research, expressed her sincere appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness. Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their unwavering support to the cultural sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Sheikha Mai emphasized that the valuable support was pivotal to the advancement of the cultural sector at all levels, through wide-ranging strategies and initiatives that promoted and preserved Bahrain’s rich and ancient culture and heritage.
She explained that she was previously aware of the change in the presidency of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and received strong support in preparation for a smooth transition. She indicated that she will continue her contributions, as part of the Bahrain team, by dedicating her efforts to the Sheikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research. Her Excellency stressed that the transfer of responsibilities is a healthy sign of institutional development in the Kingdom, and it should not be misinterpreted or circulated in any way that harms national interests.
