Seventh Annual Week of Italian Cuisine launched with great taste

Manama, Nov. 15 (BNA): The seventh edition of the Italian Cuisine Week promotes the idea of ​​coexistence and innovation based on the importance of local Italian culinary traditions and products, as well as the central role of Italian cuisine as an example. Healthy and environmentally friendly eating.

The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is an annual initiative created to promote Italian culinary traditions and food knowledge as a defining component of Italian identity and culture.

This year the week’s events, which are being organized simultaneously worldwide by the Italian Diplomatic and Consular Offices, the Italian Cultural Institutes and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) network, will take place from November 14 to 20 under the theme: “ Coexistence, Sustainability and Innovation: Components Italian cuisine for the health of people and the protection of the planet.”

To celebrate Italian food and culinary traditions as a hallmark of Italian cultural identity, more than 8,000 events have been organized around the world.

The seventh edition of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World aims to promote the idea of ​​coexistence and innovation based on the importance of our lands, our products and our people and the central role of the skills that make Italian craftsmanship famous in the world.

The Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, Paola Amadi, will open the Italian Kitchen Week in two locations, where an Italian chef will give a cooking demonstration.

Collaboration with large-scale distribution operators is key to introducing new food distribution products. In view of this important cooperation, the Embassy of Italy organizes two special dinners for the main importers and distributors of “Made in Italy” products in the Kingdom.

Besides dinner, more Italian restaurants in the Kingdom will be preparing specially prepared menus for this unique week.

“In Bahrain, the supply is becoming wider with each year, and I am glad to see that our efforts in this regard have yielded important results,” the ambassador said.

“Made in Italy” imports of agri-food products to Bahrain increased by 20% in 2021 compared to 2020, and according to data recorded in August 2022, they increased by 65% ​​compared to the same period last year. This week will be another major opportunity to enhance visibility and knowledge of “Made in Italy” products and to celebrate their exceptional quality and uniqueness. The offer of Italian food is very diverse, healthy and delicious.

She thanked all the large-scale distribution operators who have supported the embassy in all years as well as the Italian restaurants in the Kingdom that participated in

Italian culinary traditions throughout Bahrain.

During the week, free Italian language lessons will be offered at the Grazia Deledda Cultural Centre, hosted by the Royal University for Women. These private lessons are for food vocabulary, including recipes and cooking traditions.
